The Ultralite OmnicovR® Tyvek® groundsheet weighs just 1.6 oz/yd². The two most common examples of this type of Tyvek® are Tyvek® envelopes and Tyvek® HomeWrap®. It has a paper-like rigidity with a smooth slick surface and can be run through a cycle in a washing machine to soften and make the Tyvek® more pliable.

Using the Ultralite OmnicovR® Tyvek® Ground Sheet as a Cover

This Tyvek® ground cloth can be used above the ground too as a cover for just about anything. When attaching a rope or cord to the corner of the Ultralite OmnicovR®, use a sheet-bend knot to achieve the strongest tie downs. Never use traditional grommets; instead, use fabric clips, spring clamps, or tarp and fabric fasteners. The Ultralite OmnicovR® protects against dirt and moisture and is washable after use.

Cautions

Tyvek® is slippery and should not be used in applications where it is walked upon. Tyvek® should not be used near heat, flames, or sparks, so please use caution around the campfire.

Washing Your Tyvek® Ground Sheet

Tyvek® ground sheets can be hand washed with mild soap. Or, they can be machine washed in cold water on a gentle cycle. No bleach. Drip dry only. Do not put in a dryer, dry clean, or use an iron on Tyvek®.
