Tyvek® Graphics, DuPont™ Tyvek® Print Media for Graphic Arts
Tyvek® Graphics media is perfect for printing signs, banners and other graphics that require a durable, flexible material that is lightweight, tear resistant, and water resistant. It's available in paper-like material (Tyvek® Hard Structure) or fabric-like material (Tyvek ® Soft Structure). Just about everything that can be printed can benefit from Tyvek®'s great strength, lighter weight, superior vibrancy, and competitive cost. Tyvek® is a tree-free, synthetic material that is also highly water resistant. Tyvek® Graphics media is white, non-toxic, recyclable, chemically inert, and contains no binders. This non-woven, spunbonded olefin material combines the best properties of paper, film, and cloth to create a good printing or coating surface with high opacity and toughness to a degree unique among graphic arts media of similar weight and price.
That's why DuPont™ Tyvek® Graphics material is the substrate of choice for so many typical - and not so typical - printing applications!
Material Concepts is an authorized supplier of DuPont™ Tyvek®, offering Tyvek® Graphics media for sale online.
Printing Processes for Tyvek® Graphics Media

Laser printing is not recommended for printing on Tyvek® because of the high temperatures used in the laser printing process. For the same reason, Tyvek® should not be used in electrostatic copiers.

Improved Ink and Coating Adhesion
Tyvek® graphics media used in printing is Corona treated to improve ink and coating adhesion. This electronic charging of the sheet oxidizes the surface and increases the wettability to inks, coatings and adhesives. The Corona treatment on Tyvek® lasts more than 20 years, so that a roll or box of Tyvek® can be stored without having to re-treat it, as may be required for films and other synthetic substrates.
